Summary: Hard Disk: 1 TB images fail to get formatted
Initial Comment:
Host: F10/x64, KVM-85rc6, Intel CPU.
Guests: RHEL5/x64, F9/x64, openSUSE-11.1/x64.
In all cases guest was unable to format the hard disk of 1TB size. Tried both
VMDK and Qcow2 containers.
500 GB Hard disks work.
Qemu commands:
qemu-img create -f qcow2 openSUSE-11.1-64.qcow2 1000G
qemu -name 'vm1' -monitor unix:/tmp/monitor-20090420-193008-d3BK,server,nowait
-drive file=openSUSE-11.1-64.qcow2,if=ide,boot=on -m 6144 -cdrom
openSUSE-11.1-DVD-x86_64.iso -redir tcp:5000::22 -sdl
