Hi Reeted, As far as I know, SR-IOV is working & stable on RHEL KVM release. We've seen IBM publish several pretty good SPECvirt_sc2010 results with SR-IOV NICs with RHEL 5.5 and RHEL6.
For your question regarding Infiniband, I guess it's better send an inquiry to Mellanox to see if they've tested it with KVM.
