I used your string and read the documents in the site you referred me to but 
could not understand why doesn't it accept the 
xmlns:qemu='http://libvirt.org/schemas/domain/qemu/1.0' string.

I tried it on the following version:
Compiled against library: libvir 0.9.8
Using library: libvir 0.9.8
Using API: QEMU 0.9.8
Running hypervisor: QEMU 1.0.0

So according to the site it should be supported.

Any idea what am I missing now?

My fault.  You need to change the <domain> opening tag to

<domain type='qemu' xmlns:qemu='http://libvirt.org/schemas/domain/qemu/1.0'>
