In the past I had a similar problem with buggy KVM/xen, when the CPU time stamp counters (TSC) were not synchronized between different host (this is not expected): For the VM the TSC jumped forward/backward and the kernel decided to wait in a busy-loop until the TSC was right again. Migrating the VM back often solved the problem temporary, as the problem only occurred when migrating from A to B, but not from B to A. You might check that as well. > The problem appears randomly.
