Hi Using gentoo 2005.1 and kvpnc-0.7.2, with pptp
Install went all well (as gentoo installs always do), but when trying to connect to my vpn server I get 'No auth is possible sent ' error from pppd. having looked at the ppp website, this is due to no password present in chap-secrets file. Obviously trying to place one in chap-secrets does not help as kpvnc overwrites this file once trying to connect. I did a manual setup of vpn from this site : and it works perfectly using the pon and poff commands, but i have to do connect and disconnect via a console window, which I would prefer not to do (especially with suck a nice gui as kpvnc available) Looking in kpvnc's setup, the password is in the required dialog box, and if I take it out, the dialog box requesting username/password compains that all fields must be set, even if they are. Any ideas ? Regards Lucas
