OK. Thank you for your answer. 

I'l look in to the user/root issue and se if I can come up with an idea to 
solve it. I see that in SuSE 9.3 thay have made a solution where it is not 
necesary to be root to handle interfaces. Mabye there are some good ideas 
there.

Please give send me a mail when you have a version that supports OpenVPN 2.0 
and I'l try to test it.
