Attempting to get kvpnc to work with openvpn-2.0.9 on debian sid.
kvpn importated my ovpn .conf fairly well, I'll report the issue in another
post.
Trying kvpnc, I get all I get is the following:
debug: [openvpn] Fri Mar 16 16:59:04 2007 us=368357 MANAGEMENT: TCP Socket
listening on 127.0.0.1:2222
debug: OpenvpnManagementHandler: Connecting to the OpenVPN manage port
(2222)...
debug: OpenvpnManagementHandler: Connecting to the OpenVPN manage port
(2222)... host found
debug: OpenvpnManagementHandler: Connected to the OpenVPN manage port (2222).
Using the same .conf the cli, things work fine:
# openvpn --config testing.conf
Enter Private Key Password:
<snip>
Fri Mar 16 17:06:30 2007 us=688488 Initialization Sequence Completed
When using kvpnc, a strace -p on the openvpn process shows it's waiting in a
read().
# strace -p 16199
Process 16199 attached - interrupt to quit
read(0,
While kvpnc is doing a select:
# strace -p 16163
Process 16163 attached - interrupt to quit

Nothing in syslog.
On the vpn server, I do not see any connection attempt. My only guess is some
sort of issue on the management interface (127.0.0.1 2222)
# netstat -nlap | grep 2222
tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:2222 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 16297/openvpn

Anything else I can do to troubleshoot this issue?
