Running Debian/sid, Kernel 2.6.21 debian stock kernel
Kvpnc: v 0.89-1

Hello everyone

I've had partial success with kvpnc GUI and vpnc daemon with my work
VPN gateway -

I was able to successfully import the pcf file and the profile appears
in the drop down menu. On pressing connect, I do not see a prompt for
the password. However, if I run kvpnc from a terminal window, I see
the password prompt in the terminal window. I assume this is a bug. On
entering the password in the terminal window, I get a Connection
established message.

I see that on running /sbin/ifconfig, I see a tun0 option with an IP
address which is from my work domain. However, I can't actually use
any web service like firefox, ssh, or ping. Do I have to do something
in addition to what I've already done?

Also is there a way I can run kvpnc as a regular user instead of a
superuser? Does this have some serious security implications?

Ranjan
