This is a new thread as I haven't got Christoph's response to my previous message in a usable form to reply to (because of being subscribed only to the digest - I have now corrected this)
OpenSuSE seems to use unsermake whatever I do, unless I un-install it or (as I did) temporarily re-name the binary. Forcing GNU make instead it now builds OK & I now have "0.9.0+SVN(May 27 2008 1745)" built and installed. Many thanks for the pointer. May I suggest upping the warning "*** YOU'RE USING UNSERMAKE. *** GOOD LUCK!! " to "*** YOU'RE USING UNSERMAKE. This probably WILL NOT WORK - use GNU make instead" ? However, using kvpnc and trying to connect to my office (where there is a DG834 router) fails. This connection sort of works, very slowly, with the other OS. > debug: racoon: /usr/sbin/racoon -f > /root/.kde/share/apps/kvpnc//racoonOTL-HQ.conf > debug: "/usr/bin/tail -f /root/.kde/share/apps/kvpnc/racoon.OTL-HQ.log" > started. > debug: Policy was successful activated and daemon (racoon) is running, > waiting for coming up tunnel... > debug: "ping for kick up the tunnel (192.168.0.1)..." started. > error: ERROR: phase2 negotiation failed due to time up waiting for phase1 > error: [racoon err] 2008-05-28 20:43:40: ERROR: phase2 negotiation failed due > to time up waiting for phase1.
