let me just to summarize the discussion and findings of Dibyendu.
The problem with Tkwant's conda installation seems to come from the third-party
package
"metis" used by Kwant, which eventually crashes Tkwant.
A workaround until an update of metis fixes the problem is to install an older
version
of this package via "conda install metis=5.1.0".

Dear tkwant forum,
I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to seek
assistance regarding an issue I am facing while trying to install tkwant
using conda. I am attempting to install tkwant in a conda environment
named 'env-tkwant' by executing the following command:
"conda install tkwant -c conda-forge".
"Collecting package metadata (current_repodata.json): done
Solving environment: unsuccessful initial attempt using frozen solve.
Retrying with flexible solve.
Solving environment: unsuccessful attempt using repodata from
current_repodata.json, retrying with next repodata source."
Despite my attempts, I haven't been able to resolve this issue and
successfully install tkwant in the specified environment. I have already
tried to install from the 'conda-forge' channel, but the problem
persists.
I would greatly appreciate any help or suggestions to resolve this
problem.
