In 0.18, this would mean overriding Kwiki::Formatter::wiki_link() and possibly _format, but I expect you knew that already.
In 0.18, the hyphens worked as one would expect them to. That's sorta of the problem. When I upgraded from 0.18 to 0.3x, I lost the ability to visit any of the previous nodes who had hyphenated node titles.
