Randy has the right suggestion.

Set the trunk groups to use Intercept Routing (IRNA) sending stations to 165
(set the Intercept Routing for day and night). Use DIL 1:N to select which
phones you want to ring during the day. For night time, set dil 1:1 for
each line to go directly to 165. The reason you set IRNA for both day and
night is so that when someone get the vm menu and tries to ring an
extension, they can still get back to voicemail when no one answers.

the DPITS auto configuration and has created all the mailboxes and assigned
a custom 1 to all the ports. Not sure why custom 1 or why if I change the
port the message is the same anyways.

3 times on digital phones before auto attendant picks up? The way the
customer wants the system to operate with auto attendant during the day when
they are not there. So it rings 3 times and if nobody picks up it goes to
auto attendant. During the night the auto attendant should pick up
immediately.
