We are investigating the possible JV with a UK based
financial services firm.
The firm has a Lucent (Avaya?) Definity system purchased
in late 2000 for 21,000 Pounds (29,400$) with service
contract of 2,000 Pounds/year (2,800$/year) with the
following capability:
ISDN-PRI UK equivalent == 2 Mbps
ISDN-BRI UK equivalent
POTS lines (BT flavor, but basically the same)
POTS phones, perhaps also used for AUDIX VM access
Feature phones (perhaps 2* 24 ports)
one spare slot
The IT folks are rather muddled in their description about
what is really installed. They think that the system is
capable of recording conversations (e.g. trading) with the
addition of a 14,000 - 21,000 $ card/system
Does anyone have any leads (URLs or other) to understand
the
capabilities
constraints
migration options
with this Lucent (Avaya?) Definty system?
