For all you rocket scientists out there posting mis-information:

Not True! See page 122 and 123 of the TA1232 manual! The program number is even the
same as the TD!

Not True! See page 86 in the TA1232 Manual! The feature code is even the same as the
TD!

Not True the KX-TA1232 uses digital integration just like the TD1232 does! See page
65 of the TA1232 manual.

Not True! The ring group feature is exactly the same as the TD1232! See page 168 of
the TA1232 manual.

Well they don't have to. See page 86 in the KXTA1232 manual. Some expert!

At least Jim posted that he wasn't sure his information was correct! This
misinformation makes me wonder about the accuracy of the other topics discussed here
or maybe this should be the KX-TD Digest instead of KX-T!

To me the three major differences are:

Lack of CO buttons on the phones. When Live Call Screening, Two Way Record and a
phantom or two are used you run out of buttons real fast. I guess the dealer who
doesn't program these buttons or teach the user how to get the most from the system
doesn't really care.

No remote or PC programming. Just try to set up a system that has 25 phones, 7 lines
and all the unused CO buttons programmed as DSS keys. You have to run back to the
site just to change the ringing assignments!

Four wires required. In many installs in older homes, large warehouses and factories
they don't have enough cable pairs to hook up the phone.
