Years ago I had to put a van in the shop for some work. They left the keys
in the ignition, as normal, the shop was broken into at night and my van was
driven off into the dark. We found the van the next day, minus the tools.
I was fortunate that my insurance covered all but $250, which the shop
covered, and I got all new tools out of it. The only problem was the agony
and down time of the whole ordeal. Lesson learned - keep an inventory of
materials, photos and document costs, it will be worth it one day.
