I have posted a few related messages concerning this neverending saga. I
have had some great input from some of you, and thanks for the help. Anyway,
before dumping the entire memory, and reloading/rekeying, I wanted to post
some more symptoms that I have discovered. Originally, after plugging a
phone directly into port 7 and getting nothing, I thought I was looking att
a dead port. A few of you who have several years with KX-T gear assured me
that you have never seen a dead port, per say, but just errors in
programming. I went ahead and made sure that the XDP feature was enabled,
and then plugged in an SLT, did the '790' code, and then returned the ext to
'disabled' status; still nothing. Then, I re-enabled XDP, plugged in the
digital phone, then plugged an SLT into the XDP port, and viola, the analog
phone works, but not the digital. I know, the next thing is to make SURE
that the 2nd pr. in the cord is good, and I tried 3 different ones, not to
mention that one of them is what I had been using for programming on port
01. BTW, all of this is being done AT the KSU, and not through any other
wiring, so I know there's nothing missed there. HAving asid all othat, are
there any new ideas out there, or should I go ahead and dump it?

Thanks,
