Subject: KX-T: Caller ID Table

We're experiencing a strange problem with the Caller ID table in a Panasonic
KX-TD1232-4. Prior to setting up the table, the CID card was installed and
the necessary programming was done. This part works fine; the CID info is
received by the system and displayed on the phones.
Then, we setup the Caller ID table -- numbers in prog 110 and corresponding
names in prog 111. However, it just doesn't seem to work 100% of the
time...
If a call comes in with a name & number, it works.
(the corresponding name from the table is displayed if the number is in the
table)
If a call comes in that is "anonymous", it works.
("private" is displayed)
If a call comes in with a number, but the name is "unavailable", it does not
work!
("out of area" is displayed along with the number)
If a call comes in with a number, but the name is "private", it does not
work!
("private" is displayed along with the number)
This just doesn't seem to make any sense to us. It would seem that the whole
point behind the CID table would be to lookup numbers where the name is
missing! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ian
