IIRC, I believe the tone generator will not be active until the dial timer
expires, which I believe is about 5 seconds after the last digit is dialed.
Try waiting an extra second or two before dialing your access code. I also
believe the timer is adjustable, but I would have to dig out the book to
look it up. Someone more familiar with it may know (or tell me I'm FoS and
don't know what I'm talking about).

Subject: KX-T: ISDN PRI

| We have a kxtd 1232-6 dual cabinet system. We have a isdn pri for the
| phone lines and when we make long distance calls sometimes when a user
| has to punch in there Account codes it will not break the tones. I have
| talked with the phone company and they said there are no problems on
| there end. They mentioned that it is something with our PBX. I have
| looked everywhere, and i can't find anything that is strange. Also I do
| not get this problem with the fax lines which are not plugged into the
| PBX. The person at the phone company mentioned it might be the tone
| generator in the PBX.
| Thanks
