I think the distinctive ringing is a feature of the digital phones not the
KSU. For example if you put a 7735 on the KXTD1232 you can't change the ring
sound. If you put a KX-T7425 you can. This doesn't help you because you need
some features that are only available separately.
We have ran into this ourselves with caller id. Why can a cheaper KXTA1232
log all common calls but the KXTD1232 can't?
Makes you wonder who is making the decisions doesn't it.
