Two different animals. XDP will make the port a separate extension- as a separate ext it will ring whenever it is programmed to ring.
When the extra port is an addition to the digital ext (i.e. xdp off) then it will only ring if parallel ring is turned on. That way you can have modems, faxes, cordless phones, etc plugged in but use them for outgoing without bothering to ring. charles ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Lesher" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "KXT Mailing list" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, August 27, 2003 10:50 PM Subject: Re: KX-T: unXDP ringing > [391] > > > So do I need BOTH 391 and XDP off? > > Or will 391 alone do the trick? > > > > -- > A host is a host from coast to [EMAIL PROTECTED] > & no one will talk to a host that's close........[v].(301) 56-LINUX > Unless the host (that isn't close).........................pob 1433 > is busy, hung or dead....................................20915-1433 > > _________________________________________________________________ > KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ > Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt > > _________________________________________________________________ KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt
