How many lines do you have Glenn? Call waiting on a phone system is not very practical on a phone system (at a business-never, but at a home- maybe). You have to consider that with call waiting, you still really only have one call- that is it is still only one line, therefore only one person can answer the calls. Since both calls are coming in on one line, whatever you do in the system with one call is also done to the other. You cannot split them to send one to voicemail and talk to the other.
Only choices as Michael said are: use phone company voicemail -or- cancel call waiting and use hunting or forwarding to a second line. I have thought that I could use an external service (forward > call busy) to another CO, but that seems pretty lame. Another option is to > have a separate vmail enabled on the telco side.... again, a lame solution. > > Ideas? > > > Glenn > ______________________________________________________________________ > Glenn Jensen > ph. 619-749-3700 - Office > ph. 858-229-1992 - Cellular > > toll-free voicemail / fax - (877) 233-5478 > _________________________________________________________________ > KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ > Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt > > _________________________________________________________________ KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt
