I guess the first we Yankees need to know, what IS the UK standard
ringing voltage and freq.??

Hi,
Thanks to Robert for the idea to change the ring pattern on the
KXTD1232 so that the BT Airway will recognise the ring. Unfortunately
the install manual I have seems to show this as being fixed. Is it
possible to change the ring pattern on the KXTD1232 [rather than on
the handsets themselves]?
The line interface chip on the BT Airway is the Si3014, from Silicon
Laboratories which is used in full-wave ring detect mode. My best
guess as to why this is not working is that the ring frequency is so
far outside any UK standard that although the line ring voltage is
seen, the ring is not recognised by the main CPU, which then treats
this as a parallel pulse phone.
Does anybody know how can I change the ring frequency on the KXTD1232
to be closer to the normal UK ring frequency?
Thanks,
