It sounds like a failure of the "ring generator" section of the power supply. It will need to be repaired.

Subject: KX-T: KX-TA08 does not ring out on KX-T handsets except KX-T7730

We've just programmed a KX-TA308 switch with a KX-T7730 proprietry handset using dial plan 1. Each of the ext. ports (101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107 and 108) rings out only on KX-T7730 ( Propriatory Telephone) handset, and not on any other panasonic ( SLT) handset. We tried with KX-T2315, KX-TS15MX, KX-TS17MX (Single Line Telephone).

We also discovered that a speech path is actually set-up with these panasonic handset.
We tried calling in and found that if you picked up a phone while it should have been ringing, you could answer. It was as if all phones were in DND mode. We inspected
the programming and found nothing unusual.

We reset the switch and reprogrammed it. We have also set the volume control on these handsets to maximum, interchanged the dialling mode from pulse to tone and vice versa with no positive results.

How can we make the KX-TA08 switch to ring out on other panasonic handsets.
