I have been monitoring this group for years and you are all the best!

I just installed a KXTAW848 ver1.1 with 4 Cell Station antennae and 5 KXT
7680 (black) cordless phones in a 4000 sqft home on top of Mt Soledad in La
Jolla, CA.

Here is the layout:

The home is less than a mile from major radio and tv antennae, the home has
a wireless Linksys router. The home has a Crestron system with some kind of
transceiver (that looks like a walk-talkie) in a room near the pool. It has
an elaborate security with video system.

The KSU and one antenna is in the same closet as the main rack that has all
the stereo and crestron servers.

The house has a stucco exterior with drywall and wood floors. There are
dimmer switches galore and enough lights to bring the ships into harbor.

Problem:

The phones have great mic volume and we get 4 bars all the way through the
house and outside, but there is a wavering reception and speaker volume
levels do not remain constant, sounds like you are almost out of range even
when you are on top of the antenna. It seems there is interference from
somewhere, but where?

I have tried unplugging the antenna nearest to the wireless router, I have
tried unplugging the wireless router, I have called the Crestron guys and
they say they do not transmit any where near the 2.4ghz frequency, and now
homeowner is furious (as usual in a case like this).

Do any of you gurus have any suggestions on how to back track, other than
what I have already mentioned, and isolate the problem. Have any of you had
this same scenario?

Thank You,
