First of all, disconnect the two Amphenol cables from the unit and power it down. You will need some adapter to test each digital pair without the load connected.
If you cannot do this, run the diagnostic programs contained on the DOS programming software with the loads disconnected. If you are unable to do either, get a knowledgeable tech in. The KX-TD816/1232 ports can lock in an overload situation, and only by disconnecting all loads and re-powering can you verify whether or not the KSU is faulty. Usually this happens in groups of 4 only. I had one case a few years back when a cable was touching the outside earth and damaged. This digital extension went down along with 3 others sharing the same chip. Removed the short, re-powered the unit, and all was okay. This short had been there for almost a week. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Support Sent: Monday, October 10, 2005 9:37 PM To: [email protected] Subject: KX-T: KX-TD1232 extensions no loging working on 1xx Importance: High Hi, My KX-TD 1232 PBX is malfunction since yesterday.
