You need KX-T7400 series or the new LX-T7700 series phones to work on the older system.

Howdy all. We have a vintage 1997 or so KX-TD1232 system and a few of the older handsets are beginning to wear out, or have been broken, etc... So I want to buy some new handsets that will work with the old system. Our old phones had no display, or speakerphones (KX-T7050), or some were fancier 2 line display with speakerphones (KX-T7230). Our phone equipment rep told me that those are no longer made. The equivalent for the cheaper phone is supposed to be KX-T7625. And the equivalent for the speaker phone with a display is now KX-T7630. I plugged one of the KX-T7625's into the line at my desk, and nothing happened. No lights come on, and I get no dial tone. Are these newer phones compatible with my system? If not, what do I need to do to replace the phones? Should I order something different, upgrade my phone system, or something else? Thanks!
