(sorry for all the newbie questions) I have a KX-TA824 system with KX-T7736 system phones in my residence. I have a couple of questions about how to use this with a Single Line Telephone (SLT).
I have the TA824 programmed to pickup an Idle CO line when an extension goes off-hook. At my desk, I have a T7736 system phone and my laptop faxmodem (for outgoing faxing only) both plugged "In parallel" on the same extension using a Y-adapter. How can I get the faxmodem to override the Idle CO line pickup, and use a specific CO line each time? Is there some kind of "flash button" code that lets you override which CO line to use from a SLT? Are there any limitations or loss of capability on the T7736 system phone when using a SLT on the same extension, and specifying so in the TA824 settings? Lastly, am I crazy or does "One-Touch Dialing" from the PF buttons really mean "2 steps to dial", first have to pickup the receiver or speakerphone and press Intercom or a CO line before pressing a PF button? Is this crazy? Shouldn't it work such that when I just press a PF button and if the receiver is on-hook, that it picks up the speakerphone and dials right away in truly 1-Touch? Oh, one final thing, is there a firmware ROM upgrade out there for the TA824 that I can download? I think the version I have is 1.0.59 Y88xxxxxxx Thanks, Scott _________________________________________________________________ KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt
