After days of researching and experimentation, I'm pretty sure it is NOT possible, at least with this equipment, to perform an unattended Centrex transfer to an outside phone number. Looking for confirmation from others who may have attempted this. The idea is to have either a human attendant or AA transfer incoming calls to an employee's extension that is forwarded to the employee's home. We are successful doing this using the Call Forwarding to Outside Line feature, but that configuration seems to necessarily (and unavoidably) invoke the KX-TD1232's conferencing feature. The resulting "patched through" call then uses 2 phone lines for the duration of the call; and we have found the KX-TD1232's conferencing feature, even with the upgraded conferencing chip, unable to produce connections where parties can hear each other well. We can manually do an Attended human transfer to the employee's home number (with Program 990 [System Additional Information] Area 01, Field 3, set to make the FLASH button on a PT result in EFA). But, we also need this ability in an unattended manner performed by AA. Can a newer Pana KSU + VPS combo handle the objective? Ultimate Wish: If a configuration with newer Pana equipment does exist, then the ultimate wish is for AA to continue to monitor the transferred call to make sure it is answered by the employee at home within a specified number of rings. And, if it is not, for AA to bring it back and handle it according to the employee's VM mailbox's Incomplete Call Handling setup. Does this 'ultimate wish' capability exist, or is it too much to ask for presently. It'd also be nice if MOH could be played for the caller for the duration of the hold time while the transfer is being attempted and/or completed. Do the newer VPSs have their own external music source ports, or a way to pipe through the source connected to the KSU? Thanks in advance. Deidre Volcker [email protected]
