Bob and all,

Spoke with Nate today...what nice gentleman!

Says he can marry many (but not all) of the 78XX series sets....

Also said he still is most willing to repair all Pana cordless sets.

Thanks so much for the "heads up" for this resource.

BTW, his pricing is MUCH more attractive than Suwanee.

Happy New Year,
Jim

I found the name of the repair person that I have used with high success for cordless Panasonic phones:

Nate's Communications
514 Cox Ave
Hattiesburg, MS 39402

310-756-9677

I am not sure if he can "marry" unmatched handsets and bases, but it is worth a call and a report back to find out. I have quite a few in my collection, also.

My experience with Panasonic is that they send them all back to me as "UNREPAIRABLE"... which is unacceptable to me!

While we're on this subject, has anyone figured out how to "marry" 78XX series handsets and bases? Over the years I've collected a few of each and it would be great if they didn't have to go to Suwanee to be synched with one another....

There was a post quite awhile ago with the name of a fellow in, I believe Arkansas or Mississippi that does an excellent reasonable repair on cordless phones. I can't locate his info but someone on the list may be able to repost it.

I have used him a few times and all with excellent results.

I bought a used cordless kxt7885. The base light goes from red to green
after awhile but when I try to use the phone it starts to beep and then the battery indicator blinks empty. Same result with all combinations 2 charging
bases and 2 batteries. Does anyone know how to determine if it is a
battery, charger, or handset issue? I'd try a new battery but they are very
expensive to just experiment with.
Thanks and happy holidays!
Sid
