Well, I think I've determined that the DISA card is at least partially
functional. I've gotten it to pick up and deliver a message to me. I don't
know how to transfer to an extension, however. This is a -1, and I don't
seem to have access to program number 815(?) which lets me assign a keypress
of 1 to ext 101, for instance. I turned on security for the trunks, but even
punching in those codes doesn't get me anywhere.

What am I supposed to do while hearing the DISA message in order to transfer
to a particular extension?

I haven't figured out the answers to my other questions yet. Steep learning
curve on this system--at least for a computer programmer. :-)

Subject: KX-T: How to test DISA card? General questions.

Could anyone give me a brief run-through on what I would need to do to test
my DISA card? Since I think I am now the owner of a dead Caller ID card, I'd
like to know if the DISA is okay.

Would someone tell me if the following is possible with the DISA card?

  * Have the auto attendant come on at bedtime (preset time) for the home
line and tell folks if they really want to bug us, dial XX.
  * Have the auto attendant come on with a *different message* for the
business line at home.
  * Set up an extension that would dial out on a free CO to transfer a call
to my cell phone.

All of this is with a TD1232-1

Much thanks to all of you generous folks.
