That's easy ! (Question: Why is my CID info retained sporadically)
CID information is presented to all display phones that are programmed to
RING, either thru DIL 1:1 or DIL 1:N.
The information is retained by the LOWEST ringing jack that the call has
gone un-answered on. If another jack, (extension), or Voice Mail has
answered that call, the CID info will not be retained on the lowest ringing
jack.
IRNA (1232 and 816 Digital) may route/intercept to Voice Mail.... I
haven't observed how the CID data retention is affected by IRNA calls to VM.
If you want to do some testing.... disconnect the TAM's (telephone
answering machines) and Voice Mail.... and then call the CO lines. I'll
bet you'll find the data is retained at the lowest ringing extension
consistently.... once the call record buffer is full (maybe 15 calls ?)
then I think it's oldest one get's tossed out, newest is retained....
Might be slight variances for different processors.
Play around with it.... check it out.

Me too. I have a 624 and can't figure out how to address the same problems
OR how to direct the CID info/feature to specific phones.
I also recently bought a KX-TVS50 and THOUGHT I was fluent enough in my
system to install and set up the system. Now I need help. Any users in the
Seattle area looking for a little consulting on the side? Any vendors
willing to take on a small job?
