What part of the cord are you "jiggling?" I have problems with analog
phones in stores where they get moved around on the desks a lot. The
problem is usually in the female modular jack on the phone. I believe Pana
has a problem with soldering the jack to the board, the solder joints break
and the phone cuts in and out.
Move the modular cord at the wall jack, then at the phone. See what
happens. If it happens at the phone - try this - place a small hook in the
jack, paper clip with a 1/4" bend, under the pins, and pry them up some so
there is more spring tension in them. This will help make a better contact
when the modular cord is plugged into the phone. If this doesn't help it's
probably cold solder joints on the circuit board.

My bets are down on the jacks.
because of the wiggle wire test.
1. not phones, you checked that
2. not cords, you checked those
3. probably not the ksu because wiggling the wire should not have any effect
on the ksu, unless you wiggle them really, REALLY hard
Don't forget, the digital phones use the outer pair of conductors on the
jacks. They would be the yellow/black or org/wht wires (second pair) in most
instances. Make sure the jacks are clean and the wires are not touching
inside the jack. Also, the gold pins in the jacks can often get pushed out
of place and touch each other intermittently, you may just want to replace
the jack.
