Steve,
The standard single line analog phone will answer a line IF that line is
ringing on that phone. If the analog phone is programmed to NOT ring, then
you will need enter a code to have it answer, or change the ring
programming.
You can program "pick-up dialing" to make the phone automatically dial the
"40" or other code, but that may bother people when they try to dial out. If
you have a simple phone with a bunch of speed dial button, you might try
programming them to dial the codes and label accordingly.
I think your system is digital...
KXTD codes:
4* = pick up ringing co line
40 = pick up a ringing phone in your ext. group
41 xxx = pick up a specific ext. that's ringing (ext. xxx)
