Duh! I figured out the background music option was on, which causes the
feedback.... BGM is not an option when using parallel phones...

Subject: KX-T: KXT-TA624 & parallel phones
Hi,
I am trying to get an SLT and a KX-T7030 phone to work in parallel on a
KXT-TA624 hybrid system (analog).
I have tried two different phones (SLT and KX-T7030), programmed the jack
for second phone, swapped out HL and RT wires, and still when I try to get a
dial tone on the SLT phone, the speaker phone on the KX-X7030 comes on, no
dial tone, just lots o' feedback.
What's strange is the SLT can answer incoming calls OK, and the KX-T7030
otherwise works fine. Any ideas?
Thanks!
