Problem 1
I have a kxtd308 with kxtvps50 in a residence. All call on line 1 & 2 are delay to
vps50 6 rings. VPS50 answers all call on Line 3 immedately. Now when a fax call comes
in from a fax machine, the call is routed to fax extension port, but when a computer
send a fax, the call is not sent to the fax port and is being routed to the call group
that handles unaswered calls. I check all in programing and can not fine a solution.
When listen with a test set I hear the fax machine sending beeping tones continuosly
but with computers-fax the tones stops after two beeps.
Problem 2
There is a gate at the drive entrance tied to line three. When L3 was delayed a call
from gate would be answered by a person (before VPS50) the home owner would just enter
9 and the gate opens. But when the VPS50 route the call between gate (line 3) and
phone user (any extention) dailing 9 does not do anthing. What I do not understand is
the VPS50 drops off after connecting gate with an extension as it should, so why does
it works if vps does not handle the call?
