In that case, I'm going to collaborate with documentation group in order to 
continue with translation of wiki and topics related with this project area, so 
I will be waiting for specifc tasks that you say.

The last weekend I was trying to interact with another people on the IRC 
channel but there was no response.

yes is very helpful to contribute with this project. As of now, we are
already having a spanish locale in the works. Hopefully tomorrow will be
uploaded. But we will surely need additional help for the future versions.
Also we will need reviewers to evaluate the quality of the translations.

Well LibreOffice is mainly written in C++ but you will find your skillsets
useful for extensions which can be done in Java as well as develop
additional components. I will invite you to Freenode's #libreoffice where
there is mostly development conversations as well as the freenode mailing
list for Libreoffice.
