in all languages.

I consider mentioning the word count to be silly. The gettext application
msgfmt shows messages (translated, untranslated and fuzzy).
Having both counted (words and messages) is non-silly ;-)
Say I have a file with 4 untranslated MESSAGES but 200
WORDS, and another one with 200 untranslated MESSAGES but
300 WORDS; I might choose different CAT-tools for translating.
Possibly I'd attack the former with OmegaT and the latter
with Lokalize/KBabel/PoEdit or whatever.
Most of the tools count primarily the MESSAGES, but the
WORD-count is also nice to have.
