First, the Swedish version to test is available at

You should test that the interface is correctly translated.
Then we are now evaluating dictionaries to be bundled with it.
1) Try installing the 3.3.0 dictionaries from here:
http://people.apache.org/~pescetti/ooo-330-dictionaries/dict-sv-ooo330.oxt
2) See if Swedish spellchecker and thesaurus work (restart OpenOffice to
see the dictionary; set the Text to "Swedish" through Format -
Character). Test hyphenation too if you can.
3) Then uninstall it from Tools - Extensions Manager.
4) Verify that Swedish spellchecker is no longer available
5) Download and install these three extensions:
A) http://extensions.openoffice.org/en/node/5732
B) http://extensions.openoffice.org/en/project/SweThes
C) http://extensions.openoffice.org/en/project/Swedish_hyph_patterns
6) Do the same tests as step 2.
Does any of the two sets of dictionaries work? Do you notice
