Cool! but from a personal point of view I'd prefer
not having to use radius if I can.
I find it to be yet another layer of complexity, just
to do VPN.

Subject: l2tp and roadwarrior on one box

Last week there have been lots of discussions about deploying l2tp/ipsec

for roadwarriors using only one box.
After some testing I finally got it working.
With this combination it is possible to assign dynamic ips as well as
static ips for customers.
The ingredients for this are:
freeswan + x509 patch
+ rp-l2tpd with initial roadwarrior support
+ ppp-radius plugin from cvs
+ freeradius with its experimental module rlm_ippool for managing ipools

I have set it up in a test environment with not more than 3 parallel
roadwarrior connections and it seems to work without problems.

Regards
Norbert
