I have a question regarding interfacing of PPPOE and l2tpd as LAC.
as per my understanding l2tpd directly can't talk with PPPOE. is this right..?
if i am correct , what modifications need to be done in l2tpd for
handling pppoe communication.
can I just strip the ethernet header from pppoe (after ignoring initial discovery packets which are distinct to pppoe only) and get the clean ppp frame and pass it to l2tp?
I have seen the code in l2tpd-0.69 taking pppd serial frame and after
doing a little serial protocol processing it gets the ppp frame and does the rest of work.
