Hello l2tpd developers, wanted to let you know the following: -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- D-Link DI-614+ (possibly many other models like the DI-624+ etc.) do include the GPLed Layer 2 Tunnelling Protocol Daemon implementation (www.l2tpd.org). In the firmware binaries you can find the following:
--------8<--------8<--------8<--------8<--------8<-------- Usage: l2tpd -D -c [config file] -s [secret file] -p [pid file] init %s: Unable to open /var/run/l2tp-control for reading. Forked by Scott Balmos and David Stipp, (C) 2001 l2tpd version 0.69 started on %s PID:%d Written by Mark Spencer, Copyright (C) 1998, Adtran, Inc. Inhereted by Jeff McAdams, (C) 2002 --------8<--------8<--------8<--------8<--------8<-------- I contacted D-Link support (in different countries) 2 weeks ago and got no answer so far (what's quiet ok). As operating system they use ThreadX for ARM7 from Express Logic Inc. And yes, of cource, they don't provide any sources or any reminder neither in changelogs, their website nor router's web interface. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- original post you can find here: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,10865847~mode=flat -- Best regards, sect0r527 mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
