Salam Shalom

Witness the journey of a unique affair portrayed in a human story. When
two men, a Palestinian and an Israeli are thrown together as housemates
the last thing they expect to do is fall in love. It is a love affair
that must transcends many taboos to survive. No matter what your creed,
color, race, or sexuality, this play demonstrates the tenacity of true
love in seeking acceptance.

The play explores the articulations between nationalism and
homosexuality in the Arab world and Israel.

Cafe Intifada

Cafe intifada, a project of the International Humanities Center, seeks
to empower artistic self expression within a social/political context,
to raise funds through the arts, for cultural and human rights needs and
programs internationally and connect artists with activists, community
members and other artists currently engaged in progressive social change.
¡Cafe Intifada! produces arts and cultural events in the Los Angeles
area to raise funds for cultural programs in Palestine. Each program
raises funds for a particular non-profit organization in Palestine.
