Los Angeles, California Radical Women Wednesday, January 19, 7:30 p.m. Hit the Streets to Defend Abortion Rights: Caravan to Stop Rightwing Anti-Abortionists! In 1973, tenacious, grassroots feminists won legal access to abortion in the U.S., the cornerstone right of women to control their bodies and lives. This year, on January 22, the 32nd anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision, rightwing abortion foes have had the nerve to announce a march in San Francisco. Radical Women and other feminist groups are mobilizing all womenâs rights supporters to demonstrate against them and in support of abortion rights. On January 19, bring your ideas to help plan a caravan from Los Angeles to San Francisco to join this important counter demonstration. Help our sisters and brothers in San Francisco show these fanatics that women and our allies will defend our right to control our bodies. Anyone interested in joining the caravan please call to sign up by Monday, January, 17. A hearty winter supper, with vegetarian option, will be served at 7:00 p.m. for a $6.50 donation.
