through letters until they are finally given the opportunity to
meet at the border during the Israeli withdrawal from South
Lebanon. When the intifada suddenly erupts around them,
both girls face heart-breaking changes in their lives.

Upcoming films:

Feb 27, 2005: Divine Intervention. Discussion with Shady Hakim
March 13. 2005: Wedding in Galilee: Discussion with Stephanie Abraham

Angeles Palestine Labor Solidarity Committee and
!Caf Intifada! in conjunction with the Palestine General
Federation of Trade Unions, is a monthly film series
featuring a different Palestinian film each month, along
with speakers, artist, musicians, and poets. The Purpose

continues at 6th Street, just North of the Pier

From: Jim Gibson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Arlington West Huntington Beach
Sundays 8 am - 4:40 PM.
sponsored by OC Veterans for Peace

Arlington West has become one of the most successful
projects in the history of the Orange County peace
movement. The visual image of hundreds of white
crosses placed in the sand representing the hundreds
of fallen soldiers in Iraq has paused thousands to stop
and reflect on the cost of war. Orange County Veterans
For Peace is more committed, organized and able to
carry on this memorial than ever before. We are calling
on the anti-war movement in Orange County to again
affirm your commitment to this project as we welcome
your participation in a spirit of peaceful understanding
and trust. Please come out onto the sands of Huntington
Beach and join us as we wage peace there.

We really need volunteers - Please Help

We begin with set-up at 8 AM on each Sunday at 6th Street,
just North of the Pier. -
NOTE NEW LOCATION ON OTHER SIDE OF PIER FROM
WHERE WE USE TO BE !

Come down and enjoy the day. Stay as long as you wish.

Take down begins at about 4:00 PM. See you there.

#7 Every Sunday evening in Huntington Beach:

From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Peace vigil 7-8 pm every Sunday night at the foot of the
Huntington Beach Pier, 7-8 pm

We believe in non-violence both physically and in our
thoughts. We stand at the pier with a sign that says:
"Visualize World Peace. It's up to you" to get people to

Start believing that it is possible to have a world of peace -
even if it's hard for most people to even imagine it.

We will discuss peace in a spirit of dignity and respect
with any one who is rational and smile quietly at those
who aren't. The war in Iraq has been waged and we
can't change that but there will be talk of other wars
and we must keep the thought of peace in peoples'
mind so they don't mindlessly accept violence when it
is presented to them in the form of future wars.

Bring a candle or a sign that promotes peace.
