The next IPC meeting is set for tomorrow, Thursday, January 27, 7-9:30 PM. It will take place at the Silverlake area offices of City Council member Erick Garcetti, at 3525 W. Sunset Blvd. corner Maltman. The iPC is now fully constituted, including the application of required diversity mandates (at least 50% people of color, at least 50% women), and includes elected representatives of station listeners, paid and unpaid staff, and members of programming collectives.
Program Director Armando Gudino will review some of what is involved in actually producing the shows that go on the air (how much time, how many people are involved in getting an hour of air time, live or pre-produced, on the air). Other agenda items include a proposal to devote air-time to emergency programming devoted to the causes, cure and impact for global warming and other environmental degradation and devastation. --Michael ------------------------ Yahoo!
