Dear Friends, Do you lay in bed at night thinking about how we Progressives need to organize? Do you feel a disconnect from like minded and motivated people? Here is your chance to make a real difference! I would like to invite you to Topanga Peace Alliance 2nd Community Forum, titled "Reaching Beyond The Choir--Implementing An Action Plan To Get Us There." The Forum is taking place at The Onion, on March 5th, from 1:30-6:00pm. At the first forum we distilled the common ideas into seven shared goals and strategies. The goal of this forum will be to develop and begin to implement specific action plans to unify and motivate. Some very special activists will be joining us to facilitate the process, including; Jim Lafferty, Kevin McKeown, Bill Gallegos, members of Code Pink and KPFK staffers. I know there will be an issue that is of interest to you, including; Electoral Reform, Ending Imperialist Wars in Iraq and Elsewhere, Cracking Down on Corporate Control, Expanding and Strengthening our Base, Working with Politicians, Effectively Utilizing the Media and Defending the Constitution and Bill of Rights. If you or your friends have kids, they are encouraged to come too. There will be special activities for children of all ages to foster peace and cultural understanding. Please let Rain know if you are bringing kids, so she can plan to have enough child care on hand. Rain-310-455-0166 (There is a donation request for the children's activities, to cover cost of materials and extra care givers) Also, The Forum Committee wants to encourage youth and young adults to become part of the strategy planning process. Please join us on March 5th, from 1:30-6:00pm, at The Onion, 9550 Haskell Ave, North Hills. Directions: 405 North from the 101 to Nordoff. Go left (west) on Nordoff for two blocks, turn right (north) on Haskell. It is just past Plumber on the right and looks like a giant onion. The TPA is asking for a donation, to cover cost of organizing the forum. One last thing, please bring something to eat or drink to share in the Pot luck. This is a great way to socialize, unwind and network during the breaks. There will also be an assortment of multi-cultural entertainment throughout the day. Please feel free to bring your favorite drums to bang and share! Hope to see you there! In Solidarity, Frank Dorrel 310-838-8131 [EMAIL PROTECTED] www.addictedtowar.com
