But with Wolfie running the show, and his adherence to Chicago's Freidmanite Market Economics--the Nazi philosophy of "useless eaters"-- everyone in the world will know exactly what the score is. You cannot sugar-coat Wolfie the NeoCon. Hell, he was a real hit man for Bush Jr and Reagan. I also support Bolton for the UN. he is so arrogant and obnoxious that it will make it more difficult for Bush Jr to get his way at the UN and therefore to use the UN as a fig-leaf for whatever criminal policies they plan to carry out. That the ADL intervened in the matter and solicited "punishment" against professors offering different views not in accord with Zionist myths to President Bollinger suggests that these students were not that "silenced" or "discriminated". The production of a video by a Boston-based pro-Israel group shows that these students have decided to take recourse to outside sources to vent their frustrations. The event -- which was scheduled to include speakers from the CIA, a dinner, and a raffle for prizes such as an iPod Shuffle -- was organized by students in an NYU marketing class whose classwork for the semester is to market the CIA to their peers at NYU. They will be graded on their efforts; the CIA, which provided them a $2500 budget for their project, retains ownership of the marketing campaign they create. Joined by Watsonville's Brown Berets, SAW protesters gathered for a rally at the campus bookstore and occupied the streets in a traffic-stopping procession up to the Stevenson Event Center where the Job Fair was being held. That date was April 12, 1797. Since that date the Garinagu (plural for Garifuna) have migrated to countries such as Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, The U.S. and many more. Many Garifuna speak Spanish as well as their own language and cross-culturally link the African-American and Hispanic communities in Los Angeles. On April 12, 2003 the City of Los Angeles declared April 12, to be an official city holiday to commemorate Garifuna history, culture and artistic heritage. This year's festival will be characterized by a mixture of Garifuna bands and folk dancing; such as Wanaragua and Punta. The entourage of wire screen masked and costumed dancers accompanied by a drum corps brings about a culture determination unlike any other. While the Garifuna people are a hybrid culture resulting from the intermarriage of the Arawak Indians with Nigerians whose slave ship wrecked at Yerumein, Garifuna music and dance today still maintains an extremely strong African base. The traditional music for social occasions centers on drumming and call-and-response singing, as an accompaniment for the dance. Lyrics and dance often detail village life, spiritual beliefs or relationships. The Garifuna existed as an independent republic for decades until conquered by English troops who sent them to a virtual concentration camp on the Island of Roatan where about half of the people died. The 5th Annual Gar�funa Day Street Festival is produced by Garinagu Empowerment Movement (G.E.M.), a local non-profit, tax-exempt organization. Proceeds from this event will benefit the growth of the organization and support its mission. Admission to the festival is free. This year's festival features the most diverse line up of Garifuna artists that has ever been put together to perform in one day.
