Protest Arnold's Cuts to Education, 6/14/05 Please join Labor and Community Representatives, Faculty and Students for the
SANTA MONICA MARCH AND RALLY AGAINST GOV. SCHWARZENEGGER TUESDAY JUNE 14th 5:00 PM - 8:30 PM SANTA MONICA COLLEGE SPEAKERS INCLUDE: Charles Lester, Interim Secretary Treasurer, Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO Rap Artist Will B. Ken Mason And many more Gov. Schwarzenegger has been asked to deliver the commencement speech at Santa Monica College for the June 14th graduation. Let's be out in force to show that we remain united in our opposition to the Governor's cuts to education. (Please note that rally is on the opposite end of SMC campus from the Commencement and will not disrupt the graduation proceedings). March begins at 5:00 pm at St. Anne's Church 2017 Colorado Ave. (East of 20th Street) Santa Monica, CA 90404 (Parking Available at St. Annes and at Calvary Baptist Church at 20th and Broadway) We will march south up 20th street to Pico Blvd. The RALLY and PROTEST against Schwarzenegger will be held at the corner of PICO and 20th. The rally will be held in the SANTA MONICA COLLEGE parking lot. We need people to protest until 8:30 pm to catch attendees leaving the event. Please bring signs to protest the Governor's cuts to education. Don't forget to bring water and sunblock.
