Theresa Dang had her house searched by the Garden
Grove police, ostensibly for a policeman's flashlight
that they accuse her of picking up off the street at
the Minuteman protest on May 25th.
"...we're asking that as many people as possible make
arrangements to pack the courtroom during her
arraignment at the West Justice Center, scheduled for
the morning of June 27, 2005 at 8:30 am. The address
is 8131 13th Street, Westminster."

#2 "On Common Grounds" screening in Fullerton Thursday,

Dear Friends!
On Common Grounds will air once more on the Hallmark Channel
on Sunday June 26, 2005 at 12 noon P/E as part of their weekly
show "The World of Faith and Values." On Common Grounds has
also aired on Bridges TV, the Muslim American channel, receiving
high ratings and positive audience feedback.
If you miss this opportunity the film will also be screened at the
Fullerton Public Library on Thursday June 30, 2005 at 7 PM. The
library is located at 353 W. Commonwealth Ave, Fullerton ,
CA 92832. This screening is FREE to the public and refreshments
will be provided.
On Common Grounds follows three Jewish, Christian and Muslim
groups attempt to overcome their differences by building a house
together for a poor family in Mexico. However, this gesture of good
will proves to be rather challenging for this diverse crowd. Not only
will they have to face each other for the first time, but these
inexperienced builders must complete the house in an
outrageously short amount of time... Can they do it?

and those who which to spread a message of peace to their

#4 OC Peace Coalition General Meeting Saturday,
July 9th in Orange
In accordance with our usual "second and fourth
Saturday" pattern.....

All interested people are invited.
We'll be discussing any ideas for the future
of the anti-war movement in Orange County,
in particular, a fundraiser for OCPC some time
in August, and whatever we might want to do
in support of the Sept. 24th events in DC and
LA are likely to be discussed.
Please bring your ideas, and be ready to step
up and participate.
DIRECTIONS:
Turn into the parking lot from Batavia just north
of La Veta Ave., drive around to the left, to the
south side of the complex. We'll be in the last
wing of the building that you come to on the south
side. Look for signs to direct you to the room
that we've been assigned. It will probably be

Many Stories, One Vision for a Nuclear Free World:
August 4-7, 2005 in Las Vegas, NV
August 2005 marks the 60th anniversary of the U.S.
atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Urged on by the Hibukasha the survivors of the
first nuclear attacks the mayors of Hiroshima and
Nagasaki have called for A Year of Remembrance
and Action for a Nuclear Weapons Free World. To
honor this call, Pax Christi USA and the Nevada
Desert Experience have joined together to sponsor
Many Stories, One Vision for a Nuclear Free World,
a national conference and public witness at the
University of Nevada-Las Vegas and the Nevada Test
Site, from August 4-7, 2005.

gathering at Brea Blvd. and Imperial Hwy. Saturday. so come
on out to Imperial Hwy. near you and start another of the many
corners that will eventually streatch from OC to LA. or u can
come join us in Brea where, when our numbers get higher,
we'll be spreading out from there. many have asked what are
we protesting? I say bring a sign that says what ever it is that
you want to express or just bring yourself and stand with us
in solidarity. My sign said "no war in iran and syria". Hope to
see you on the streets this Saturday from 11-3.

#7 San Clemente Food not Bombs every Saturday,
3 PM

We have decided to move our serving day and free
arket to Saturday, as opposed to Sunday. San Clemente
Food Not Bombs, beginning in March, will be serving in
Max Berg Park at 3pm every Saturday.
Some new projects within San Clemente Food Not
Bombs have been:
providing clothes, house supplies, appliances, and anything
else donated that would be of use to the lower income families
which we work with in our community.
Books Not Bombs. BNB collects and redistrubutes reading
material, preferably progressive and historical writings,
and offers them to the community at no cost. BNB looks to
collect, among others, childrens books to be distrubuted to
Las Palmas Elememtary School, located across from the
park which SCFNB serves at.
Finally, SCFNB has begun a small collection of youth working
to send items and love into the prison industrial complex.

Huntington Beach Pier, 7-8 pm
We are a small group of people who believe in
non-violence both physically and in our thoughts.

World Peace. It's up to you". We want people to
start believing that it is possible to have a world at
peace, even if it's hard for most people to even
imagine it. We will discuss peace and non-violence
in a spirit of dignity and respect with anyone who
is rational and smile quietly at those who aren't.
With all the violence in our world, we seek to
encourage people to look at the alternative - to seek
peace in their hearts and in our world.
