Blase Bonpane The Director of the Office of the Americas, Blase Bonpane, who hosts WORLD FOCUS on KPFK, Pacifica Radio, and Adelphia Cable TV will speak about the recent progressive currents in South America. Prior to his talk he will show the film VIVA LA PAZ (sound track is in English), an award winning documentary about the International March for Peace in Central America from Panama to Mexico City 1985-1986. Bonpane led the U.S. component of this march which took place in the midst of the Contra War _officeoftheamericas.org/_ (http://officeoftheamericas.org/) . Doors open at 7:00 PM, VIVA LA PAZ will be shown at 7:30 PM, questions at 8:30 PM and Talk from 9:00 to 10:00 PM. The Sepulveda Unitarian Universalist Society, also known as "The Onion," is located at 9550 Haskell Ave. in North Hills. From Los Angeles take the 405 freeway north, exit left (westbound) on Nordhoff, go two blocks and turn right on Haskell. It's on the right side just north of Plummer.
